Benelli aka Benny, is looking for her furever home! Benelli is 8 years old and is a calm older girl who still loves to play outside, go for walks, and play with her favorite toy in the yard: her Jolly Ball. Benelli loves to snuggle up on the couch, or is even just as content in a comfy dog bed, she just wants to be beside/with her people. She loves to be the center of her people’s attention, and will sit patiently forever next to whoever is petting her. Benelli does tend to be a little shy/nervous when meeting new people, but quickly warms up! She is UTD on shots, completely house trained, and listens well / knows almost all commands.  We do recommend that Benelli goes to a home with no birds/farm birds, no cats, no small dogs, and no children under 8 years old. She does enjoy the company of some medium/large dogs; she is currently being fostered in a home with 3 other dogs, but would really flourish being the only dog & the center of her owners attention. Her previous owners and her foster family left her uncrated overnight as well as when they went to work. When alone, she finds a comfy spot to lay until her people get home. Adopt Benelli!

All animals adopted from us will be spayed or neutered, dewormed for parasites, current with vaccines for their age and microchipped. Dogs will have tested negative for heartworms and given monthly heartworm, flea & tick prevention. Cats will have tested negative for FELV OR FIV and given Revolution monthly

The general adoption process is as follows:

Once we receive your application, the TLC Animal Rescue Board of Directors will review it to see if the animal you are interested in may be compatible with your family.
Once your application has been screened, we will arrange a meet and greet with you and your family members (including pets) and the animal you are interested in.
During this time, one of our adoption coordinators will be contacting your references and your veterinarian to verify if your pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.  If the meet and greet was successful, and any other potential adopters have been ruled out, we will schedule a home check and move ahead with the adoption.
