Tamara was found by a good Samaritan after she managed to break free from being tied up, outside, on one of the coldest night we've had. Tamara was very skinny but healthy otherwise and super sweet. From the momment I met her she was a happy girl, tail wagging. She has an instant bond with her humans. She stayed temporarily with two other dogs and 6 cats. Dog savvy cats are needed who will put Tamara in her place or she does find it fun to chase them. She has done beautifully meeting my 3 year old son. She is very calm around him and takes food very gently. Being a puppy of course, we are working on some basic manners, potty and crate training. Tamara is a very smart, food motivated girl who will make someone very happy :)

All animals adopted from us will be spayed or neutered, dewormed for parasites, current with vaccines for their age and microchipped. Dogs will have tested negative for heartworms and given monthly heartworm, flea & tick prevention. Cats will have tested negative for FELV OR FIV and given Revolution monthly

The general adoption process is as follows:

Once we receive your application, the TLC Animal Rescue Board of Directors will review it to see if the animal you are interested in may be compatible with your family.
Once your application has been screened, we will arrange a meet and greet with you and your family members (including pets) and the animal you are interested in.
During this time, one of our adoption coordinators will be contacting your references and your veterinarian to verify if your pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.  If the meet and greet was successful, and any other potential adopters have been ruled out, we will schedule a home check and move ahead with the adoption.
